guide to modern living

cellular telephones
  1. When a call is dropped, the caller calls back. The callee should wait until the caller does so.
  2. When calling someone you call often, if you only want them to call you back, do not leave a voice mail message.
  3. Voicemail is for substantive information. If you have a short message, send a text.
  4. Talking on the phone while hanging out with someone is rude. Only do so when absolutely necessary, and keep it short.
  5. Texting is the same as calling--keep it short and only when necessary.
  6. When texting, write in full sentences. It is communication like anything else.
